Intel brings AI PC era to the Philippines

Intel has launched laptops powered by its latest Core Ultra Series 3 processors in the Philippines, marking a significant step toward mainstream AI-enabled personal computing in the region. These processors are integrated into laptops from major global brands including ASUS, Acer, Dell, HP, Lenovo, and MSI, now widely available at local retailers. A key innovation in these devices is their ability to perform AI computations directly on the laptop hardware rather than relying solely on cloud servers. This on-device AI processing enables faster, more private, and responsive AI applications without requiring constant internet connectivity.

The Core Ultra Series 3 processors deliver up to 180 trillion operations per second (TOPS), establishing the highest AI processing capability in the current PC market. Intel demonstrated this capability through its AI Playground application, which runs AI tasks offline entirely on the device, showcasing the potential for enhanced user experiences in creativity, productivity, and gaming. For instance, Intel’s integrated Arc graphics on selected models showed performance comparable to laptops equipped with discrete Nvidia RTX 4050 GPUs in testing scenarios.
