Digital Connexion has announced a substantial investment of $11 billion by 2030 to develop a 1-gigawatt (GW) AI-native data center campus in Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh. This initiative represents one of the largest commitments to digital infrastructure in India and targets the rapidly growing demands for high-density computing, especially for artificial intelligence workloads. The purpose-built facilities will support hyperscalers, cloud providers, and large enterprises by offering cutting-edge computing power, advanced power infrastructure, and intelligent cooling systems designed to optimize performance and scalability.

This project spans an estimated 400 acres and aims to position Andhra Pradesh as a strategic hub for AI and cloud technology infrastructure, addressing the surging digital infrastructure needs tied to AI adoption across industries. Digital Connexion, a joint venture that includes stakeholders such as Digital Realty, Brookfield, and Reliance Industries, emphasizes that this investment not only supports technological innovation but also contributes to sustainable growth and digital sovereignty in India. The data center campus aligns with broader national ambitions to expand cloud computing capabilities, enhance AI-driven digital ecosystems, and meet rising data demands efficiently.

By cultivating a state-of-the-art AI-ready infrastructure, Digital Connexion is poised to strengthen India’s status as a global player in digital infrastructure, enabling enterprises to scale AI applications with unprecedented performance and reliability.
