AM Group gets land allocation LOI from YEIDA for 1GW AI compute hub in Greater Noida

AM Group has secured a Letter of Intent (LOI) for land allocation from the Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA) to develop a massive 1 gigawatt (GW) high-performance AI compute hub in Greater Noida. This ambitious project stems from a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed between AM Group and the Government of Uttar Pradesh, marking a $25 billion investment aimed at establishing a cutting-edge AI infrastructure hub. The initiative is designed to serve global AI workloads, combining vast computational power with sustainable 24/7 green energy solutions.

Promoted by the founders of the Greenko Group, AM Group is positioning the hub as not just a data center but a pioneering model for sustainable AI infrastructure. Group President Mahesh Kolli emphasized that this facility will enable the democratization of AI capabilities, advancing technologies from electron agents to intelligent tokens. The strategic location in Greater Noida reflects the region’s growing stature as a technology and innovation center.

This development is significant for India’s role in the global AI ecosystem, underpinning the country’s ambitions to become a major player in high-performance computing for AI applications. By integrating large-scale compute with renewable energy, AM Group’s hub aims to address critical challenges around energy consumption and sustainability in AI infrastructure. This aligns with wider trends in the tech industry seeking environmentally responsible innovation while boosting computational capacity.
