Taiwan has launched a new cloud computing center in Tainan featuring a state-of-the-art supercomputer powered by Nvidia’s latest AI chips, including the advanced Blackwell series. Inaugurated by President Lai Ching-te, this facility is a cornerstone of Taiwan’s strategy to develop sovereign artificial intelligence capabilities and strengthen its position in the global semiconductor and AI technology landscape. The center leverages 1,760 Nvidia H200 chips and 144 Blackwell chips, highlighting the critical role that Nvidia’s AI hardware plays in advancing Taiwan’s AI ambitions.
